How to Boot in Safe Mode On Nexus 6P
The Android OS gives you the freedom to do what you can and can not do with your phone from third-party applications. Google will use Android 6.0 and the new Doze feature to prevent unnecessary dormancy, but if an alert indicates it's important, the application can force the device to shut down. Google says it will prevent apps from exploiting them, but you'll see what's going to happen in the coming months.
Nonetheless, third-party applications can cause more problems than shortening battery life. An application (even an application in the background) can cause the CPU and / or GPU to rise to the maximum clock speed. This not only degrades battery life, but it may also cause the unit to overheat. If this causes the kernel to reduce the maximum clock speed, the performance of the Nexus 6P may be degraded. These problems are caused by optimized code, but they can be caused by bugs (such as cache data corruption).
Nexus 6P Safe Mode
- Turn on your Nexus 6P on your Home screen.
- Then press and hold the Power button.
- When the 'Power off' dialog box appears, release the power button.
- Then tap and hold your finger in the "Power Off" option.
- Wait a few seconds and ask if you want to reboot into safe mode.
- Tap the "OK" option to reboot your Nexus 6P in safe mode.
- Then wait for the Nexus 6P to reboot.
When you boot Nexus 6P in safe mode, all third-party applications on your device will be temporarily disabled. It will only be disabled in safe mode, so rebooting your Nexus 6P will turn off safe mode and these applications will work normally again. In safe mode, applications can not be opened and simply do not work in the background. It may be a problem, but you need to find out if third-party applications are causing battery life, performance, overheating, or other problems you are testing.
