There are several reasons why a laptop keyboard can not work properly even not function at all. Although it is advisable to go to a professional computer technician, you can fix it yourself.
Below are some common reasons behind the laptop keyboard dysfunctional. I also have to provide some steps that will help you in overcoming these problems.

How to overcome :
- Unloading all buttons by removing the keyboard layout using a screwdriver with caution. All rubber and key buttons are released, store in different containers.
- Clean the inside of the keyboard by using the swabs of cotton bud slightly dipped in water. Avoid too much water, because excess water can damage the keyboard. Clean the entire keyboard with extra pressure on the main room.
- Clean each button has been removed and stored in a container using a foam. This will help to eliminate the sticky substance that sticks to the bottom of the button. Allow to dry for 15 minutes after completion cleaned. After that, wash all key correctly using warm water, and allow it to dry completely.
- Spray a small rubber karet- stored in another container, and rinse with warm water. The rubber piece wrap with paper towels to dry more quickly.
- Place all of the key face down on a flat surface. Give a light lubricant, and let it dry.
- Once completed cleaned and lubricated, replace the keyboard with caution. Start by putting all the rubber on the keyboard, then attach all appropriate key positions respectively. Use fingers to meneksan all key down one by one until it is seated properly in the respective slots.
In this process might take up to 2 hours. Cleans and lubricates the keyboard will prevent permanent damage. Laptop keyboard finer than on an external keyboard, and is not suitable for playing games in the long term. To prevent damage to the laptop keyboard, you should use an external keyboard to play games on the laptop.

Another reason that may cause the keyboard can not work well are the compatibility issues of hardware / software in the laptop. Try running the laptop in "Safe Mode". If the keyboard turns out to be working in "Safe Mode", meaning the cause is software related. You should carefully inspect the keyboard driver. If there were any drivers are missing / corrupted, download the driver from the provider's website.
